Lignite Substrate and EC Modulates Positive Eustress in Cucumber at Hydroponic Cultivation

Hydroponic cultivation using organic, fully biodegradable substrates that provide the right physical properties for plant growth and development is now future of soilless production. Despite high productivity strict control production conditions in this method, excessive salinity substrate often occurs. However, recent research results indicate at a enough threshold can improve yield quality, while prolonged exposure to too EC, or exceeding safe EC given species, leads reduced quality even no yield. The aim study was determine effect lignite (L) eustressor form nutrient solution (7.0 dS·m?1) on morphological physiological parameters, as well cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) hydroponic compared mineral wool (MW). MW/high combination showed significant reduction shoot diameter by nearly 6% MW/control combination. stomatal conductance (gs) transpiration rate (E) were also significantly present indicates effects application vary depending growing medium used, more favorable terms obtained substrate. combined with (L/high EC) increased fruit content ?-carotene, lutein, chlorophyll a, b sum + 33.3%, 40%, 28.6%, 26.3% 26.7%, respectively,
